We worked with the CEO of Sea Forest to create a design that stands out in the grocery store aisle. We wanted to highlight the kelp in a simplistic way that allows an immediate connection to the brand. Using metallic gold colours in a label can be difficult for print, but it allowed us to add gold foil to the packaging to truly shine amongst the competition.
We traveled around the Pacific North West Coast of Canada, filming sea and shore life to connect customers to this incredible area of the world. From flying drones in 10-foot waves in the remote coastal town of Bamfield BC to early morning shots taken through kelp beds in Sooke BC, we helped create a concept that would tell the story of the mariners who started this company while connecting people to the delicious sea vegetable products they harvest and sell.
We built this functional marketplace website to connect customers to the products and the brand. Through stories about the owners and using the commercial video we created for them, we wanted the site to showcase yummy sea veggie products and the owners' lives, creating a connection between online customers and the retailers who supply them.
With our years of packaging design and print expertise, we created beautiful, on-brand packaging for three Sea Forest product lines. We wanted the packaging to be elegant and concise, with hints of colour and metallics to stand out in a crowded supermarket. We utilized gold foil printing techniques to create a shine that stands out in supermarkets' fluorescent lights.
Sea Forest is a locally owned pacific sea kelp company that grows and harvests food products from organically grown seaweed. We helped craft the branding, website, videography, and product packaging to create a clean, elegant brand through all of their marketing mediums.
